Daire Gilmartin (Ireland)

Daire Gilmartin, C. Psychol. Ps.S.I, BA(Hons), Grad Dip., MSc., DPsych., is a chartered Counselling Psychologist (C. Psychol. Ps.S.I) working as Principal Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist with Five Rivers Fostering specialist multidisciplinary team. Dr. Gilmartin is a certified Filial Therapist, Supervisor, and Instructor, and is the dedicated Filial Therapy Instructor/Trainer for Ireland. Daire has over 25 years’ experience working therapeutically with people across the lifespan in both the public and private sector. He previously worked in St. Clare’s Unit, Dublin, a Child Sexual Abuse assessment and therapy service and was also employed by the HSE in the National Counselling Service, a counselling and therapy service for adults who have experienced childhood abuse as well as the Asylum Seeker and Refugee support service. He has worked as a member of An Garda Siochána and for a number of years as a residential Childcare Leader.  Daire is a guest lecturer on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology course in Trinity College, Dublin. He has a small private practice in North Dublin where he offers therapy, consultation, training and clinical supervision.
